Welcome! I'm Leanne. I'm an oil painter who is drawn to stories, memory, and the beauty often found tucked away in single ordinary moments. My faceless portraits and nostalgic scenes are intentionally open-ended, inviting you to step right on in there and find your own story. I believe original art has the power to make a house feel much more like a home. The paintings we choose often become part of our family's history - silent witnesses to birthday parties, quiet mornings, holiday traditions, and everyday life. When I’m not in the studio, you’ll likely find me wandering through a museum, visiting a gallery, perusing a good book, singing with a guitar in my hands, or just hanging out spending time with my husband and twin boys. I’m also an educator at heart which is why I love helping people feel confident in collecting original art, whether they’re purchasing their very first painting or adding to a growing collection.
This website is more than an online gallery. It is a place to celebrate creativity, discover the stories behind the paintings, learn about collecting original art, and be reminded that beauty still matters.

The Past. . .the Present. . .
When I was seven, I created my first collection - a bunch of exquisitely colored birds (colored pencil on fancy old school notebook paper - HA!). In the fourth grade, I made a Mother’s Day card that inspired greeting card creations of various types for years - everything from Christmas to Easter, Book Lovers Day to Buy a Musical Instrument Day. There hasn’t been a day that I haven’t created something.
I grew up in rural west Alabama, but in the first year of our marriage, my husband and I fell in love with East Texas. We live in the country where time saunters a little more smoothly and easily than in the city. The way the green fields meet the blue skies to form the horizon has made me stop and take note of every sunrise and every sunset.
I am self represented and everything I sell online ships directly from my home studio.
