Legend tells that this mountain has a jagged crown of red stone that glows at sunset. It is said that years ago, a chieftain climbed it while holding a torch in order to plead for warmth for his people. He lit his fire on the peak and from somewhere up above came the flame that set the stone itself on fire. Though the blaze burned out long ago, the mountain still blushes red in the evening light.
